Just took a shower..

(click on the image and zoom to view the details)

One more macro shot. I just love this. I always wanted to capture early morning dew drops on a flower. This was a perfect opportunity. This image looks awesome in 5MPs. I can send you one if you want to see it. Just send me a note.

Let me know how you like it. Is there anything that I should keep in mind while shooting a macro, that would improve shots like these? Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks again for taking time to visit!

It takes the zoom in to fully appreciate the rain drops. Nicely done!

Your colours are nice. As for macro tips, try to get down a little lower, and use manual mode on your camera (or aperature priority) and shoot with a narrower depth of field to help the subject to pop out.

Whoa another great macro from you - you should do more macro shots!I love the image except it's not as bright as I would have liked it to be (my monitor brightness is very high) although the colours are spectacular and you hit saturation dead on.My tips for macro would be take it from every angle, usually in macro you need post-processing for various reasons.

nice pic.....hmmm i think the angle was right.....u just need to do more of post processing.....this cud have been cropped a lil more, so that the focus wud have been totally on the subject..........otherwise its good....
also the tips given above are good enough while planning a macro shot........

Lovely! Did you knees get wet?

*my tip For macro shots down low like this, I always carry a bean bag (actually, mine is a ziploc bag full of rice) in my camera bag so I can keep the camera real steady.

The basics are same as for any other photograph, get in parallel with the subject. In macro, this is important 'coz your DoF is very very shallow. Open your lens wide (preferably at the widest) to get a silky smooth background. This from my archives (ya, I am advertising myself :P), is one of my fav shots. The lens was two stops below its widest here (f/2.8 was the widest on that).
most important, have fun. the small world is extremely addictive. :D
