I would like to say I had to go deep into the woods to get a shot of this beautiful waterfall.. I would also like to say that this place was not easy to reach.. But unfortunately that would be twisting the truth (a lot!).. Anyway, this shot was taken at St.Louis Zoo (so much for being adventurous). This is a beautiful place. This is an artificial (and yet realistic) waterfall. I love this shot because looking at it gives you a feeling that this location is infact deep in the woods! I have not done any post processing on this shot. Let me know if you think that it needs one!

Great shot.I always love waterfall shots because they are so rare. This shade of green in this photo is a really nice shade. However,on viewing a large version I see that the water droplets are a bit blurry,I think your EV wasn't low enough but then by looking at it I would say if you went lower on EV the picture would be too dim so it's not your fault - you made the right choice.Sharpening the image might give the water a clearer definition.Great job!
ReplyDeletealmost look like real waterfall....nice capture:-)
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the photo I first thought "wow, truly beautiful, where IS this place?" and then I read the info hehe, but again its really nice, looks so real :)
ReplyDeleteNice shot, looks like a real waterfall.
ReplyDeleteIt is a perfect recreation, seems that instead of in a zoological east done in a natural place.
ReplyDeletenice image, nice scenery, I wish I was there
ReplyDeletegeez its not real (it looks real)
ReplyDeleteCant believe its not real!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, it doesnt need any post-processing.
This looks absolutely Fab! Some great detail without any blue or haziness! No post processing required at all!
ReplyDeletegud one :)
ReplyDeleteIts a lovely shot. Waterfalls are something I'll never get to see in my neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteYou could try a much much longer exposure (on a tripod). I think you may like the results :)
I am not so sure, when I looked at this pictur, it seemed like a theme park. I guess a little more greenery and little wider area for the water would have made this more realistic. Artificial or real, you can have the same fun sitting underneth it (if they let you)
ReplyDeleteNice waterfalls! From your perspective it really looks like it's somewhere out there deep in the woods.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture!! Have you ever tried to capture a waterfall like this where you, so to speak, freeze the water? Worth trying!!
ReplyDeleteA great shot AND you didn't have to fight the bugs and the critters! I like how you included a little foreground.
ReplyDeleteNice shot, almost real!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how they can make things look so real. Great capture.

ReplyDeleteThanks everybody for your comments!
